I forgot I had a blog
I started a blog almost 2 years ago when Ben was a baby. I'm not quite sure how, but I totally forgot I started it. So here I am posting almost 2 years later. I'll try to do a better job of keeping up.

I guess I have a "mommy look"
Yesterday morning I was changing Sarah's diaper. She has regressed in the potty training since Ben was born, but that's another story.... She was squirming all over the place and I was getting frustrated. I looked at her. I didn't think I was giving her any particular look, but she suddenly said, "I dood dirl [good girl]". I either have a "mommy look" or she can read my mind. I said, "You're not being good" and she said, "Yes, I am!" I'm afraid I don't have a chance with her because she cracks me up!

I just ordered some onesies
Sara, a friend from another site has an Etsy store and makes custom t-shirts, etc. I've seen a lot of pictures of her work and it's adorable. I just placed my first order and I'm so excited. I'll be sure to post pictures when I get them. Her website is www.sewsara.etsy.com.
I've been thinking about starting my own Etsy store with hairbows. I need something to do with all the extra ribbon I have leftover from the bows I've been making for Elizabeth and Sarah. I don't seem to have much time these days, though.
The last two days Ben has been incredibly gassy and unhappy. He hardly slept at all during the day yesterday, but he crashed on Ted around 10:30 last night. He slept until 5:00-ish. Today has been much better, but he's still fussier than usual.
Here's a picture of our little man wearing the froggy oufit his great-grandma gave him taken on Sunday. It's amazing how quickly he's growing up.

911!
I thought this would be a good story to start our blog....
Thursday, April 24 was a beautiful day. It was sunny and in the 70s. Elizabeth was home sick from school. She wasn't feeling too bad, but we kept her home because she kept running a fever. We had been out running a few errands.
Soon after we got home, the girls were in the family room, which is blocked off by baby gates. Ted was in the downstairs bathroom and I was upstairs at the computer feeding Ben. I heard Sarah playing with the keypad on the alarm system, but I didn't think much of it because Ted had the remote on his keyring and was turning it off when she would try to set it.
The phone rang. I checked the Caller ID, but I didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer. Then I heard Ted's cell phone ringing. I thought it was strange, since very few people have his number and I'm the most likely to call him on it. He didn't recognize the number so he didn't answer. Soon after that I heard a truck in front of the house. It sounded like the UPS truck. I wasn't expecting anything, but since we have a new baby, I didn't think it was out of the realm of possibility.
I heard a knock on the storm door. The front door was open. I walked to the top of the stairs to see if I needed to go downstairs. There was a firefighter starting to walk into the house and was asking Sarah (who was standing by the baby gate looking as sweet as she could be) if her mommy or daddy were home. By that time I was downstairs and Ted was coming out of the bathroom. I looked outside and there was a HUGE ladder truck in front of the house. The firefighter asked me if everything was OK. I told her everything was fine, but I was still slightly confused. Then she asked if we had a security system. That's when everything clicked. Until then we didn't realize we had a "fire" button.
We were horrified and were trying to figure out how to sell Sarah to gypsies.

Our new blog
I decided to start a blog so we could keep family and friends updated on what was going on with the kids, since they're growing up so quickly and we don't see anyone that often. It's another way to share stories and pictures. I hope to keep this updated regularly, especially with our upcoming move.
